Hello
I was a pupil at the school from 1957-1963?. The headmaster! in those days was David Rigby and we also had a Mrs Bidgood. If there are any ex pupils from that era I would love to hear from them. I live in Adelaide Australia and have taken early retirement as a Lecturer, I was also a special ed teacher for many years. I am going to be living in Italy for 6 months of the year so will have the best of both worlds.
Would love to hear from anyone

Hello everyone! Just wanted to say that I still really miss you all (thank you for your comment Megan!) I'm now living in America near Washington DC working as an instructor at an outdoors activity centre. I'm teaching children and adults all sorts of things like climbing, horse riding, kayaking, rafting, sailing and surfing as well as team building skills on our high ropes course. It's really good fun, but I still think of you all often and wonder what you're up to. I'm coming back to England in December so will be down to visit and hopefully see the chrismas play! lots of love lucy x

Hello Woolacombe Shool,
I was a pupil at Woolacombe and then went to Iflracombe school in 1975.
I grew up in Mortehoe and my family opened a take away food shop (Morteat) and ran a guest house (Overcliff).
I now live in Australia and have three children, Lucia (11), Chloe (9) and Robert (6) at Moggil State School (http://www.moggillss.qld.edu.au/) in Queensland.
I loved the picture of the swimming pool - I remember how cold it was!
I was in school productions of Oliver and Mary Poppins at Hall 70 and still have photographs which my children find funny.
Anyway, it was lovely to come across your website and see the School and Woolacombe again.
Have fun and enjoy your wondefull school!

With our youngest son's imminent departure from Woolacombe School, the time has come to hand this website over to someone who knows what they are doing!

Hopefully they'll have more time to upload relevant info instead of just the menu! (office ladies willing ;-) ).

We have had a child at the school since 1990/1 when our eldest started First Steps (busy bees). In those days the car park seemed busy if there were more than half a dozen cars in it!

The growing number of children at the school is not just the result of population growth, but testament to the dedication, professionalism and vision of the staff. They have got the recipe just right! and all the children lucky enough to attend, reap the benefits.

We feel genuinely privileged that our kids have been educated at Woolacombe School and would like to thank all the staff (past and present) for the part they have played in the running of such a great school.

Bye Bye & Good luck!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say 'hi' to you all (still missing you lots) Living and teaching in Madagasacar was a big challenge, but amazing; friendly people, beautiful beaches - nearly as good as Woolacombe! I'm in kenya now and travelling down to Tanzania next week to work in an orphange there.
A HUGE well done to everyone involved in Snow White, Mrs Lewis sent me a copy of the DVD to watch and I thought you were all fantastic! It would be great if you could put some more photos on this site so I can show them to the children I'll be meeting in Tanzania!? Love to you all. Lucy xx

We felt that we just wanted to let Graham and Denise know that we really apreciated being allowed to observe what goes on in Class 2. We were both so impressed with the way you treat and respect the children, and how they respond to you. How you manage in such cramped conditions is beyond us! Again many thanks to you for giving Max a cracking start.
